“The property itself is a little off the beaten track and set in some beautiful countryside. The stable rooms in which I stayed are big, clean well equipped,oder and comfortable. “Stay in a working monastery! The buildings and extensive grounds are superb. The grounds and gardens are well tended, and make for an extremely pleasant stroll. The place oozes character and makes a memorable visit. All this on the outskirts of Huddersfield. The rooms are basic but clean. Breakfast is only "continental", offering cereals, muesli, yoghurt, plenty of fresh bread for toast and lots of strong filter coffee. The staff are friendly and welcoming.”

“Good location close to the railway station and within walking distance of all amenities. Nice room, comfortable bed and tea and coffee making facilities. The shower was good and toiletries were provided but there wasn’t a mirror in the bathroom which made shaving a bit difficult but this may be due to the hotel undergoing a refurbishment. The breakfast was reasonably priced and there was plenty of it. We were on the third floor and there wasn’t a lift which wasn’t an issue but it could be……
