“We needed an overnight stop near Lewes, this being a mile or so north. “Clarissa, the new manager of the property, made our stay fun and easy! Our room even had its own patio! She sorted out dinner reservations and transportation so that our stay was flawless. “After a long drive down from Co Durham we were welcomed warmly by Dee with tea and cake.My husband doesnt drink tea or coffee so was offered elderflower cordial which he said was the best he's ever had, it may well have spoiled him for any other now. We had a lovely chat with Dee about gardens, local places to visit etc and then shown to our room. We had the en suite double overlooking the garden. The bed was extremely comfortable.
