“I had a lovely stay at the guest house! It's a beautiful, cozy house, with charming decoration, helpful staff and lovely details (I loved the complimentary homemade cookies in the room!). My only note would be that the bedroom I was in was not super spacious and its bathroom (separate but easily accessible across the hall) was extremely narrow so not sure how that would work for bigger people or couples. I would stay here again though, especially in this season with the gorgeous trees in bloom……

“Lovely, historic boutique hotel in Ayr. Small, but nicely appointed room, convenient location. “I liked everything about the Marine. Only one criticism and that was the fact that the hotel itself does not have a direct telephone that you can ring them on. All calls for all hotels in the group go through central reservations whom I called and was put on hold for half an hour. But everything other aspect of the hotel and our stay was excellent. “This hotel has now become a Premier Inn. We booked in March to stay at the Holiday Inn Express. We received an email from Premier Inn saying they would honour our booking.
This was not quite the case and we are still waiting to hear from Premier Inn.

“We checked in extremely late, but there was desk staff , and the process was very quick. We were only in the hotel to sleep as we had a wedding nearby. We were in the newer building which is functional and clean. The rooms in the original building though looked amazing. Wood panelling everywhere and a real stately home vibe.
