“Only problems 1) uphill walk from parking, but I am 70 and 2) in our room #5, we could hear people talking loudly in an adjoining room all evening. Staff was wonderful but only on premises before 6pm. They did answer all text questions immediately regardless of time, however.”

“The price is right, and you'll get what you pay for. It's a decent hotel to crash for a night. A little rough around the edges -- busted smoke alarm, sketchy looking key pad, etc. But if you're looking for a hot shower and a place to crash, it's good enough. Staff was very friendly and professional.”

“We stayed in Sara’s room and found it to be very comfortable, quiet and clean. We loved our stay in this historical hotel, on the city square, making it very convenient to walk for shopping and dining. We enjoy staying at historical locations and this one did not disappoint. After doing more research on the building’s history - I was happy to see that they’ve done their best to keep the historical integrity of the building intact. Thank you for a great weekend and we plan on visiting again soon!”

“The room was very neat and clean. It was exactly as listed. The bathroom was updated, the room was nice and there was access to a balcony that we could sit and have coffee on. It was located within walking distance to downtown and across from a park. It is a great location. Would definitely stay there again. ”

“My stay at the Smith House was great. Easy walk to the Dahlonega square, campus, and easy parking. Check in was quick and the room was clean with a nice bed and shower. I did not dine at the Smith House. With all that being said, the price per night was way too much for the stay, and i won't be staying here again unless it's a reasonable rate. Unfortunately there just aren't many options close to town.”
