“We stayed with our young son for 3 nights in July 2024. The staff were absolutely lovely, so welcoming and helpful with everything we needed and great with interacting with our young son. The food - breakfast and dinner - is truly incredible with nothing too much trouble. The only downside we experienced really was that we were in a room on the top floor which, while the room had clearly been hoovered etc, it was dusty in places with lots of cobwebs - while we don't mind spiders, we removed……

“Great location, easy to walk to north beach but also, town centre and south beach are close enough to walk to. For the price I paid I wasn’t expecting too much but this guesthouse has everything you might need and more for a few days away, it’s very clean and the rooms are spacious and well organised. The staff was super nice and my double bed was one of the best I’ve ever slept on! I would definitely go back!”

“Hotel itself is well positioned and you can see it’s been recently modernised and is very clean. However, the advertised parking included was not the case. It’s under renovation and no word of this is given on the booking or the following emails that came to my inbox after confirmation. We had to pay for street parking which had the hotel’s parking garage been full, I would have paid. We were expected to pay even without the advertised garage, which was one of the reasons we chose this……

“Had a lovely 2 night stay in a very comfortable deluxe room with a sea view. Would have preferred a king size bed. I noted that pillow protectors weren't used which is a shame especially with covid still ongoing. The toilets in the lobby were in need of a clean on both occasions when I used them. No soap and a dirty sink. Apart from those minor details, the staff were great, very friendly and super efficient, the food was great and the garden and patio area over looking wonderful views of the……

“We had an absolutely fabulous one night stay at the Cottage Lea's Country Hotel. The location is perfect - secluded and quiet, with beautiful scenery and delightful, well maintained gardens which had plenty of comfortable outdoor seating, as well as relaxing seating in the lounge area. Our room was spotlessly clean, cosy and comfortable - the bed made it difficult to get out of! Becky and Lottie were absolutely perfect hosts - friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. “The Palace Hill Hotel was excellent from start to finish. Adam, Tip & Baby Jasmine were excellent hosts. Good location, street parking permit given on arrival for easy parking behind hotel.
