“We enjoyed our stay at the Victoria Hotel. Great location central very close to the Jahangir indian restaurant we had booked a meal at. Very clean room, comfy bed, nice shower with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel provided. A nice trolley was in room with coffe, tea facilities and jelly beans and biscuits. “Reception team were excellent; professional, helpful and friendly. Rooms were lovely and very clean and comfortable. The only negative was the breakfast - service not welcoming and felt like they were in a panic or didn’t know what to do? More staff to support in the dining room may help. “The hotel was great value for money, giving us a king sized bed and 2 singles in a separate bedroom- very handy for the children to sleep earlier than me. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was very tasty with a wide range of options. The only downside is that the floor boards in the corridors were very creaky, and the heavy doors made a lot of noise on closing, meaning my sleep was pretty poor. A big shame as I would have used this hotel again on a road trip down to England, but……
