“The place is big and has everything we need (blankets for cold nights or AC for hot weather, hair dryer, towels plus everything to cook). The place is quiet, surrounded by nature and just far enough from Santa Elena (5 min drive). You do need a 4x4 to get to Las Marias.
The host was very nice and accomodating with our arrival/departure times. We had a fantastic time. We would go back for sure!”
“We had such a lovely stay at Belcruz. When we arrived, Randall welcomed us with a great explanation of where to go in Monteverde and took us to our room. The room was great - clean, comfortable bed, spacious, great view. Breakfast was delicious. We needed to plan our next move after checkout, and Randall made us drinks while we sat in the restaurant/lobby and planned - and saw a few cool birds right out the window. Plus, we got great hand made bird ornaments that his wife and daughter make……
“Host was very kind and attentive! The space was great with everything we needed in the room. Spectacular view and convenient location. Would love to stay here again!”
“We enjoyed our stay and the local wildlife. The hotel is in a good location, within walking distance to a bar and restaurant. The room has an exterior entrance for privacy, was large and had a mini fridge, which is appreciated. Coffee is only available in the main communal area, which is a bit inconvenient but at least it’s available.
The breakfast was plentiful and delicious!”
“Upon our arrival, we were immediately impressed by the property's beauty and felt right at home in our cabin. The cabin was remarkably spacious and immaculately clean, offering every amenity we needed. As a family-owned and operated complex, the property is expansive and boasts beautifully maintained lawns and a sunset lookout within walking distance. The property is a short drive from the town center. Roy communicated with us throughout our stay, providing helpful tips before and after our……
“This was our favorite stay during our two week road trip to Costa Rica. The resort is a quick drive into town while still being removed enough to feel immersive and peaceful. We saw so many birds without even leaving the property and enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and friends by the breakfast porch area. The food and drinks we had at the resort’s restaurant were fantastic and even as vegetarians we had a nice variety of options to choose from. The room was spacious and clean, and we also……
“Got the room option with private bathroom very basic but good for what we needed. Felt safe and it was super convenient to everything. Hostel vibes with friendly staff and a restaurant right next door. If you want a place to rest your head between adventures this is it. ”
“The place is perfectly located, beautiful mountains view with an incredible sunset watching point. It has a great proximity to Santa Elena, Monteverde and all attractions around. Communication with the host is very smooth. Yaloco Chalet is semi-glamping accomodation though (tent door in the main bedroom), it is a bit challenging to rest when you have a light sleep - quite noisy with wind and/ or rain. Other than that it was a nice 2-nights' stay.”
