“A stunning hotel with a lot of charm and character. Quiet and peaceful. Located about out the way but staff were wonderful and friendly. Nothing was too much if you asked them for anything. A wonderful place to stop. Every meal was lovely and I would recommend the food from the stone and ivy to anyone. ”

“Hi the Hotel was great but a three person room with only one chair is no use not everyone likes to sit on the bed .”

“Great setting on the river. EV charger was a real bonus for us. The room wasn’t that big, but had everything we needed and was very clean. Comfortable bed. Our evening meal was fine and breakfast very good. A good stopover.”

“Pleasant and convenient hotel ton stay. Good bar with well priced pub grub. Bed was firm but ok, pillows were a bit hard and small. Could have done with two softer pillows as well for a 5 star. Loads of parking available. I would happily stay here again.”

“The hotel was in the perfect location for the rail station, which was the reason for booking. The hotel was adequate in regards to their facilities, and the owner was very friendly, which is always a plus. The room was small, but fine for an overnight stay. It was a little bit musty in smell, though probably just needed airing a little bit more. Breakfast was reasonable and I was accommodated for allergies and preference. ”

“Nice interior, nice management, nice view and the breakfast is very nice. But the improvements maybe add more direction guide for which We arrived at east midland parkway station.”

“Lovely little pub accommodation, the room was spacious and the bed comfy. I would have liked an iron in the room, and a more powerful shower, as well as an earlier check in. The breakfast was lovely, as was the owner. A nice little place to stay.”

“A beautiful, peaceful stay! So much space and goregous natural light streaming through sash windiws in the morning. The rooms are in an historic, listed building, so there are quirks and without the radiators it can be chilly, so if staying in the winter months consider bringing a cosy dressing gown to wrap up in, especially after a relaxing soak in the huge bathtub. The coffee machine and chocolates were a wonderful treat. As was waking up right in the city centre. ”

“Susan our host was warm and welcoming, the property was beautiful and our room was really nice. The breakfast was gorgeous! We come to Ibstock to visit our friends for their Christmas party every year and this was the first time we'd chosen to find somewhere else to stay. Needless to say, we'll be making a stay at The Post House part of our annual tradition and we're looking forward to staying again next year!”
