“We booked this last minute trip to Northumberland. We have driven past often during summer holidays and were looking for a hotel for a few nights. The staff were lovely and the food was excellent. The room was spotless but a little small, however as we only booked the night before we thought we were lucky to get a room!!
Embleton is close to lots of attractions, close to the beach and Alnwick and Craster. It’s great value for the price and we will definitely be back.”
“We stayed for a friends wedding, the Garden Rooms are absolutely stunning and were a stones throw from the wedding venue (Newton Hall). The beds were so comfy, the grounds were immaculate and it was a short walk down to the most gorgeous beach! Breakfast was also delicious, we will be back!”
“Room tired and dark decor, no bathrobes or locally sourced treat as advertised! Noisy room above the bar.
Nice location of hotel, with some lovely walks around it.
Evening food very disappointing, steak small and chips covered in paprika they were barely edible! Liqueur coffee not possible as only synthetic squirty cream… not what I’d expect from a so called 5 star luxury hotel!!”
“Nice clean big room only problem was light coming through blinds early morning could do with a set of curtains but other wise spot on defo stay again ”
“Excellent location for us ,staff so friendly and helpful and welcoming nothing a problem for them ,unfortunately didn’t get names but highly recommended, was really busy on Friday and Saturday but staff had everything under control
,ran like clockwork ,and also got free drinks as complimentary ,food was lovely with a nice varied menu to suit everyone I would say . Will stay here again . ”
“It was a pleasant stay after visiting Alnwick Gardens. The room was about average size but walk up on third floor. The room was clean and as usual air conditioning was provided by opening the window. Parking is available but not for the faint of heart if you are not used to driving in the UK. Would consider staying there again if we are ever in the area.”
“Unfortunately we were told the chef was on holiday so we couldn’t eat at the Schooner. It would have been nice to know that information so we could make alternative arrangement and not be disappointed when we got there and be inconvenienced by having to go back out.
Also there was no hot water and none of us particularly wanted a cold shower”
