“We wanted a place that was private, quiet and peaceful, and this rental turned out to be the perfect choice! The view of the countryside from our patio went on for miles. Always had a nice breeze! The farm animals were fun to watch, and the dogs were sweet and friendly. Our apartment was fresh and clean, and had everything we needed. The kitchen is very well stocked, if you want to cook at home. The drive into Shiner is quick and easy. We highly recommend this vacation rental.”

“Property was easy to get to, the strung lights in the yard was a nice touch as we arrived after dark. Nice setting, with big back porch and chairs on a nicely mowed large yard. The house was nice, ample beds for my husband, my 2 sons & myself, comfortable, amazing antiques. IF I had more time, it would have been a beautiful float to the park stated in the info. Walked to the boat dock, beautiful, calm river. Location perfect for our wedding & reception venues. Much more convenient than……

“We all had a great time ; especially our granddaughters. James and Marty are excellent hosts. They took the time introduce all the animals to our granddaughters including the goats, chickens, turkey, rabbits and peacocks. The girls got to hold and feed a baby peacock. The accommodations were perfect for us. Thanks for the goat milk for Susan’s coffee. We highly recommend staying at the Byrd’s Nest.”

“Great house, the owners, Micheal/Leah had everything prepared when we arrived. We had 12 guys there for a golf tournament near by, Micheal even set up a small driving range for us off the back porch, a mini “Top Golf”. Beautiful property, especially at night with all the lights around the property.”
