“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Central Guest House. Instructions for entry were provided beforehand via text message. The front door sticks but luckily another guest arrived who knew how to get in and showed us the trick. It's in a great spot in the town, prefect for all the restaurants, takeaways and pubs. The interior of the building is tidy if a little shabby. We weren't entirely certain which room was ours but we eventually realised we could just pick whichever room we wanted from……

“Great price and room for the weekend. Only 3 dedicated parking spaces out front and if they're taken you have to move your vehicle every 2 hours around the square because of parking restrictions. Stairs and passages are tidy but could do with an update. Overall happy with the establishment.”

“Absolutely brilliant!! The room was lovely, everything in it you could want and more. Very generous with toiletries and refreshments. I had a perfect nights sleep! There is also a lovely garden you can use and enjoy. Staff were very relaxed, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was faultless, generous servings, everything on the menu you could want, hot and beautifully cooked. I had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs with a choice of toast. “Booked 2 Rooms & when we arrived the Host said she wasn't letting out Rooms anymore so we were stuck at 7.30pm with nowhere to stay. Having trouble getting a Refund from you. Definitely wouldn't recommend.”

“Return stay. Stayed here many times over the last few years, always a warm and friendly welcome, good service, good food and nice rooms.
