“This was a lovely retreat up in the mountains on the winding road to Spruce Knob. We enjoyed the grill and fire-pit very much! We were a little confused about the inverter for power which was off when we first arrived. My partner is familiar with the device and it was a simple push-button reset, but I wouldn't have been sure on my own. “This is one of the most quaint places I've stayed at. Building was built in early 1900's but has been refurbished inside with modern features but retains the old craftsman look and feel. Our room was larger than I expected. Bathroom was spacious and modern. The sink was smaller than expected but made sense actually. Extremely quiet. Monterey has very little activity.
