“We had an absolutely wonderful time in this beautiful home in Nestlenook Estates!! The place is magical! They have a skating rink (not frozen now) and sleigh rides pulled by magficent Belgian horses! (unfortunately it rained during our stay) The home was fantastic; fireplaces, leather furniture, beyond comfortable huge bedroom, ktichen. The view was fantastic!! Hope to visit this home again!! ”

“My husband and I stayed for our wedding anniversary. It’s convenient location and only 10 minutes from downtown Gorham, however it’s secluded and extremely private. The fire pit along with the sound of the river was the perfect mixture. It’s exactly what we needed as a little getaway!”

“We had a great time boating and enjoying this lakeside home. The house was clean inside, and spacious as pictured. We also loved visiting Screw Auger Falls and Moose Caves…just a short drive away. I suggest that there be more kitchen towels available as well as washcloths in the bathrooms. The outside of the home could’ve used some cleanup as well. ”

“Everything was wonderful about our stay. One of the best rentals we have had over the years, and Janet has thought of everything, and the house is so very clean. “We spent a week on Sheep Island in July 2024. We loved it. The accommodations were beautiful, the kitchen well enough equipped, the beds comfortable, the lake clean and the view amazing. We had 2.5 days of rain so were glad for the games and puzzles available. I think it would have been nice to have a clothesline for the swimming towels to dry. The chairs in the main area were about the only thing we would change. With the amount of rain, we were stuck inside but not very comfortably. ……

“Everything was so easy for checking in! The house was very well stocked with anything you would need. There were even extras just in case you forgot something like a tooth brush shampoo etc... Everything was neat and tidy when we arrived! The fishing on the pond was great! Caught plenty of bass and pickerel! Plenty of hiking to do nearby! “We stayed for a week over spring break for some spring skiing. The house is amazing - spacious, clean and well equipped. The grill must have been replaced bc previous reviews said it was an issue. My husband used it twice with no issue. The oven needs to be replaced. We made the best of it, but it wouldn’t get to temperature and was very finicky. Locks on several exterior doors are not functional. It’s a very secluded place so it didn’t feel like an issue but would be an easy remedy. ”

“Beautiful home with stunning mountain views! The house is very well appointed and had everything we needed for a fun girls ski weekend. A cozy, beautiful fireplace (gas), lots of room to relax, convenient to Black Mountain, Jackson XC Center and Jackson Village. I would suggest bringing your own coffee maker as the house only had a Keurig. I always bring a coffee maker so we were covered. We will definitely be back next winter! Loved it! ”
