“We stayed at Eagle Ridge Resort for two nights. We love that it is dog-friendly and also a great location for hiking and exploration. The queen bed was very comfortable. The pullout couch was average. We were surprised the kitchen didn't have salt (so bring your own!), but otherwise it had the very basics. The hot tub up the hill is a nice bonus and had it been warmer, we would have used the pool as well. Complimentary breakfast at Lofty Gondola is a really nice bonus, but our service there was……

“We travel frequently and have stayed in all kinds of hotels-fancy to basic. This is a great little hotel that is convenient to everything downtown without having to get in the car. The room is very clean, extremely quiet and we had a nice view of the lake. We don't eat breakfast, so we don't usually care if there's breakfast available. My only complaint is that it's difficult to control the temperature in the room and AC can get a little noisy at night. Otherwise, fantastic stay, especially……

“Property is very nice. Only thing I didn’t like was no elevator. Staff was obliging and found me a room on the first floor but anyone with mobility issues should request ground floor when booking. Tofte is a pretty small place so was happy to have an affordable option instead of the more expensive resort areas. ”

“Old motel style rooms. Price is reasonable for Grand Marais. Plumbing and AC were good. Bedding was old but still reasonably comfortable.”
