“This is not the Ritz. But if you need a decent place to stay for a reasonable price this the place. Most times when you travel alone all you’re looking for is a comfortable bed with clean sheets and a shower that works well. Totally fills the bill. I’ve stayed here probably 10 times. I keep coming back so they’re doing something right. Plus the staff is amazing”

“A historic hotel, excellent proximity to walkable restaurants and shops. I enjoy the two separate bedrooms for my family. I would have been happier with a less-saggy mattress (bed comfort weighs heavily in my ratings). Bathroom and linens were clean. Shower squealed during use. This is an excellent and affordable waypoint between Tahoe and the SF Bay.”

Wonderful breakfast buffet from their partner restaurant “Taste” which we highly recommend for dinner. Danielle was helpful & informative with regards to history & things to see/do.”
