“The staff was friendly and professional. The hotel building is beautiful and full of histories. The halls and meeting/functions are decorated with good tastes. We were allocated a room on the top floor, which was unfortunately very stuffy and warm, no central or wall mounted air conditioner other than a stand alone fan/cooler. The dinner was delicious though a bit pricey. The spa facilities are pretty good, but the steam room needs a bit of updating.”
“We stayed here in the Tudor 4 poster room. While some of the reviews mentioned noise in some of the suites, we only heard guests downstairs when we were in the bathroom and then only in the afternoon. It was quiet in the evening / night. It was a great place to stay after a 5,000 mile trip from the Western US and recover from jet lag before going on to meet friends and family elsewhere in the UK. (It’s about a hour from Heathrow). The ford was good, the beer excellent and the staff friendly and……
“Extremely friendly staff great service. Very noisy road outside but they do provide ear plugs. Shower cubicle needs updating quite a bit of mould in the shower area.
Overall an enjoyable stay”
