“Everything was great, the only small gripe I had was that it took a long time for the hot water to reach temperature for the shower, even using the electric boost option. Host was really helpful and room excellent and spacious for a solo traveller which was much appreciated.”

“A beautiful building with welcoming log fires. The hotel is very comfortable and every member of staff went out of their way to be helpful with my disabled husband. They were unfailingly cheerful and created a lovely atmosphere.”

“Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting friends. Although on a main road it is in an isolated spot. It did not come with breakfast they did leave cereal bars and porridge pots. The rooms were clean and tidy but with a mismatch of furniture. The food in the restaurant was excellent, very tasty.”

“Generally a good experience, nice room etc. Only criticism was finding it. A single door but entrance on the street but reception via the bar next door makes access confusing and difficult to spot from the road as you arrive in the car. There is no parking so it’s important to be able to see the place from the road before looking for parking that is close by.”

“Had room 4 on the ground floor. Spotlessly clean & a massive bathroom (accessable). good quality linen and towels. Only drawback for me was that there was only coffee from a pod machine & no milk. Would certainly return when in the area again. ”
