It has a nice bed and bathroom However, It is an old building and you can hear the noise from other rooms so not very relaxing or private to hang out in. The self check in means you see no staff but the pub staff are friendly and helpful if you need anything. Located a 10 min walk from Knepp wilding project so convenient for us. ”

“The lady on reception was extremely accommodating and friendly. The bar and restaurant is quaint. The only criticism we have is at the bar manager and the mixologist. We were told by reception on arrival that being a Greene King chain we could order our food and drink via app at our table when we went down to dinner which we did, however the mixologist came over to our table and criticised us using the app as he said he didn’t have all the ingredients for the cocktails we were ordering. “Amazing stay this weekend at Ashdown. We were able to play tennis, use the driving range, lunch and walk around the grounds all before checking in. Room was beautiful and clean with a great view! Dinner in the restaurant and breakfast also great and generous portions. Service fantastic! ”

“Lovely hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Swimming pool was beautiful and (when I was there) very quiet. There's also a small sauna and steam room, and a tiny (but perfectly formed) gym, Excellent breakfast selection, and again staff very helpful, even with late arriving guests. The bar menu was limited, but delicious. Had one of the best curries I've ever had there. It's a very convenient distance from Gatwick by car, so well worth staying at for an overnight before a……
