“I love this property on the Flathorn Gegoka trail system. The cabin is so lovely and cozy. Best wood burning stove ever. Even when the high was -14oF we were happy to be there! We will miss staying with you.”

“We came up to enjoy a nice quiet weekend away and this place delivered. It snowed all day Saturday adding to the beauty of this place. Enjoyed some nice hikes including a beautiful one under the stars. If you don’t mind a saw dust potty and cooking outside (which we don’t) this place is for you. Cabin was very clean and comfy and warm!”

“The location of this property is gorgeous and the home is reasonably comfortable. If you want a multi-generational group to gather here the owners need to address window coverings, especially in the one bathroom that has a shower that does not leak through the floor into the kitchen. Having grandchildren playing on the deck, with sliding glass door viewing into the shower, is not ideal. We read the reviews and brought our own curtain to cover the window. We left them behind so maybe the owner……

“We gifted our parents a stay at Shawn & Edward's property for the second time now for Christmas. They both came back saying it was incredibly relaxing and cozy, they enjoyed the proximity to North Shore sights like Split Rock lighthouse, the Onion River, and other hiking trails, and the sauna was wonderful. I know they would love to come back.They also really enjoyed their interactions with Shawn & Edward and were thankful for their warm welcome. I also want to thank Shawn & Edward for helping……

“Over all the property was exactly as expected. Very comfortable beds and furniture. The kitchen is wonderful and very well equipped. The arcade games were a big hit with the kids. Our only complaint is that the lower level and the two main floor bedrooms were very cold. Some rooms only reaching around 60 degrees, sometimes only in the 50’s. Super cold weekend so maybe.this is to be expected. Maybe some space heaters?? Overall we loved the house!”
