“Beautiful hotel, everything spotlessly clean. Restaurant excellent but what really makes it an outstanding place is the service from every member of staff. I travel for a living and can tell you that this is rare these days. Every staff member we encountered was warm, friendly and welcoming, no pretentiousness either. Highly recommend! Only slight criticism I have is that the bar and restaurant were quite cold when we were there but that’s a matter of opinion (we do feel the cold more than……

“We had a lovely couple of nights stay, it was very peaceful and secluded at the cabin which was perfect. We were pretty much left to our own devices which was quite nice, although we knew the wardens were on site if anything was needed. Lovely set of amenities provided so we were able to cook for ourselves. Only things I would request more of were a sponge for washing dishes (dish soap provided but no way to clean the dishes so we bought our own), and also some extra loo rolls! We ran out on our……

“Good, solid place. It really is a monastery with large grounds and impressive buildings. Welcome was very friendly and helpful. The property is dated, but in fairly good order. Bed was good. Breakfast was cereal and toast type. I was hoping for full breakfast but was not offered. Mirfield also a nice town/village, just avoid school closing time as very busy”

“Friendly and welcoming staff, nice clean room with exceptionally clean bathroom. Lovely breakfast with table service. Only slight downside was it was very warm in the room and too noisy outside to keep the window open all night which impaired our sleep but overall very nice. ”

“Paul and Sophie were the consumate hosts. Attentive without being over bearing. The property is in first class order with everything you could need for a perfect quiet stay. The breakfast was amazing and freshly cooked to order every day. As we have family in the area, we have always struggled to find good accommodation but Lynedene ticked all the boxes!!
