“Amazing hotel and staff! My every need was met and there was always a staff member close by who was willing to help. We arrived early and our rooms were not ready, they took our bags from us and allowed us to get ready in the change rooms. We went to our excursion and came back to find our luggage in our rooms! They even offered late check out for us! Ahmed is the best bartender ever! Made the best drinks and always had a smile on his face! Too many amazing staff to call out. I will miss Lux……

“We spent four nights at the hotel before staying at a large, expensive all-inclusive resort. After the all-inclusive, we came back to Double A, which we preferred. We enjoyed the personal service, being steps from the beach and the swimming pool that was shaded by beautiful flowering trees. The breakfasts which were included were excellent. The bartenders, chefs and waitstaff were all friendly and attentive.The dining area overlooks the ocean and the food was delicious. There is also a pool……

“Nice resort. Good food. Large rooms with nice showers and plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Security around the property made me feel safe. Beach is nice when the tide is out. Lots of lounge chairs available. Workers all over the property cleaning, raking, trimming the trees/bushes. Very well maintained public spaces. ”

“The place exudes luxury everywhere! Absolutely loved the moon shower experience with no fear of being exposed as the villa is all engulfed in a vegetation facade! The room itself is carefully laid out in a very thoughtful way with an air con system that flows through the bed for a slumber I didn’t want to get out of! The bedding was exquisite! “I loved the stay, the veranda with sea view was great. We had some trouble finding hot water and what was called a swimmingpool was a joke. But everyone was kind, breakfastplace calm and friendly, and the fruit and food was great. I would rather stay at Aluna than in the more posh part of the city.”

“Great decor! Brand new wing is lovely but note is separate to the main hotel. Excellent breakfast. Very honest staff. The hotel tours team v high std and good value for Dhow and snorklong trips. Spa appraently good but disaapintingly hard to book. ”

“Great place to stay in Zanzibar, in front of the beach. Staff is really good and does everything to serve. Location is walkable to restaurants and stores, through the beach or street. It was not a problem for us, but variety on breakfast is limited (at least the days we stayed there). This is a place to return.”

“This is a lovely quiet each front hotel, we stepped from our door onto the sand. Roo.s are good and the staff were wonderful! We stayed in four hotels in zanzibar, the staff here are exceptional, very attentive and friendly. Hotel even supprised us with a free trip to the 'rock resaurant' and star fish beach! We would stay again in a heart beat...”
