“Great place to stay in Zanzibar, in front of the beach. Staff is really good and does everything to serve. Location is walkable to restaurants and stores, through the beach or street. It was not a problem for us, but variety on breakfast is limited (at least the days we stayed there). This is a place to return.”

“We spent four nights at the hotel before staying at a large, expensive all-inclusive resort. After the all-inclusive, we came back to Double A, which we preferred. We enjoyed the personal service, being steps from the beach and the swimming pool that was shaded by beautiful flowering trees. The breakfasts which were included were excellent. “Owner of this hotel Sebastian and his wife goes far and beyond our expectation. We’re friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was awesome every day and air conditioning was superb… beach is 1 min walk and location has a lot of good restaurant. We highly recommend this place for couple and families. We had room for 4 and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Sebastian organized for us transport from airport when we arrived . He also organized tour which was reasonably priced and time wise very well……

“If You are looking for an American/European resort this place May disappoint you. When I travel I like authentic local places. This place is totally Africa. Breakfast was modest and great. The food to order from the kitchen was fresh and very reasonably priced. The bring the food to you in front of your bungalow. Security was good. The highlight of my entire trip was swimming with the turtles that you can do for free if you stay here. Very close to beach and local Zoo.”

“I loved the stay, the veranda with sea view was great. We had some trouble finding hot water and what was called a swimmingpool was a joke. But everyone was kind, breakfastplace calm and friendly, and the fruit and food was great. I would rather stay at Aluna than in the more posh part of the city.”
