“We had a very nice stay at Ellavita Cottages. The room was cozy and Tina and Khalifa are very nice hosts. They are always there when you have a problem and can help you with everything. They also know the place well so any question concerning activites can be answered. The breakfast is also delicious. Would definitely recommend and come back if we would go to Nungwi again. ”

“This is a lovely quiet each front hotel, we stepped from our door onto the sand. Roo.s are good and the staff were wonderful! We stayed in four hotels in zanzibar, the staff here are exceptional, very attentive and friendly. Hotel even supprised us with a free trip to the 'rock resaurant' and star fish beach! We would stay again in a heart beat...”

“Great place to stay in Zanzibar, in front of the beach. Staff is really good and does everything to serve. Location is walkable to restaurants and stores, through the beach or street. It was not a problem for us, but variety on breakfast is limited (at least the days we stayed there). This is a place to return.”

“Alot of thought has gone into the different little expierances you can have, in areas you can choose to relax. Food and drinks were great! We were up-graded to a amaising luxury villa! Our butler Ramson was very attentive and thoughtful. He really went the extra mile staying up and helping us with our cases at 12.30am and helping with our taxi. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you...”

“The hotel is very new next to the new stadium sports complex which is one year old. There was some problems with the shower door and safe but the staff quickly moved us to another room. Breakfast and room service were very good. The shower has excellent strong water pressure and air cons work very well. You have to get a taxi into the centre of stone town which will cost you USD15 each way, but it is worth for the convenience of being away from the hustle and bustle - it was peaceful. ”

“We had a great stay in this historical building. The room (especially the sheets) were clean, the building was amazing (make sure to check out the view from the roof), we enjoyed the breakfast, and the staff were great (and available 24/7). A great place to stay in Stone Town.”

“Perhaps there are better rooms, but our room ( nadia) is very noisy throughout our stay. Not just u could hear people shouting and chirldren playing and car horns, but the worst is that there are some sort of aircon machines right outside yr window so u can also hear the engine sound. There are too many more quiet but equally convenient boutique hotels in Stonetown but since we had already paid so we could not change hotel. DONT TRUST THE COMMENTS ANY MORE FROM HOTELS.COM! (P.S. “Absolutely loved our stay at Toa Hotel and Spa! The service was exceptional, with staff who truly go above and beyond. I wish I can give it a 10 star for their service! “Incredibly historic building with unique individually decorated rooms! Perfect location for walking around Stonetown. Delicious breakfast served on rooftop! Request Belle room if you don't want a lot of stairs. It has a huge balcony along the front of the building so it's fun to see tourists stop and take photos!”
