“The free mini bar as marketed was never there unfortunately, when leaving we saw on the announcement board that they provide it upon request, however the reception didn’t say a word about it. In general the welcoming was very cold and unpleasant. The facility and rooms were nice!”

“Park Dedeman is a great hotel to stay for business and vacation. Location is not exactly the best, but very affordable price to stay balances all that. I reserved two rooms, but one had problems with electricity. One of the female staff (It pains me that I forgot her name... I should've written it down somewhere) assisted us to switch rooms without zero hassle and friction. There's also a spa and gym you can use. Just a few steps outside, there is a mall, cafes and a few restaurant chains you……

“Прекрасный отель. Даже не смотрите по сторонам. В самом лучшем месте Алматы, до Достык Плазы 700 метров. Персонал очень вежливый и помогает во всем. Завтраки приносят в номер во сколько вы пожелаете. Даже местные на геликах и других дорогих машинах в этом отеле останавливаются. Вообщем цена качество просто супер. Особенная благодарность Ансару ”

“The receptionists are nice and helpful. Room is clean and tidy. I have a comfortable stay here. It closes to bus station but takes 15-20mins walk to train station. I would recommend it to others.”

“We booked a one BR Apartment for a family of 4 including 2 kids (5 yo). The apartment and the bathroom was spacious and fully equipped. The sofa bed in the living room converted to a pull out bed (unfortunately it is the most uncomfortable bed for 2). The location of the hotel is excellent, with 2 minutes walk to the famous Arbat Street. There are plenty of supermarkets around, with a huge Magnum store just across the road in Lumier building. ”

“The Plaza Hotel is a decent place to stay in Almaty. The rooms are clean, well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast is good but not amazing but as it’s a buffet I’m sure there’s plenty there to satisfy everyone. It’s not the most central hotel but the area around is safe and the river makes orientating yourself in the city quite easy. Get Yandex Go the ex-Soviet equivalent of Uber and getting around costs next to nothing and is very quick and efficient. Would I stay here again? Absolutely!……

“The room is standard, but the service is good. Excellent breakfast also.”

“We weren't very pleased with this place. For starters, we found out upon arrival that we had to pay 6000 tenge for two people/two nights. Below is the only mention of potential fees: "Hotel fees The price DOES NOT include any applicable hotel service fees, charges for optional incidentals (such as minibar snacks or telephone calls), or regulatory surcharges. The hotel will assess these fees, charges and surcharges upon check-out." The staff claimed this was a newly imposed tax from Feb 2023.……
