“A really unique and beautiful B&B a short walk from Inveraray town centre. Rob was a great and kind host, and tended to our every need. We stayed in the Cairngorm Suite, a beautiful room with everything you could need and more, and a lovely bathroom. Breakfast was also to a high standard with great local produce. Would highly recommmend and would love to stay again!”
“Excellent self-check-in hotel on the A83 looking directly into a stunning view of Loch Fyne at Inverary. Lovely garden with seating area for relaxing, eating, drinking or just taking in the view. Well appointed room and with fridge, kettle, tea, coffee. En-suite with fluffy towels, cotton buds, soap and shower gel. Close to lovely cafés and bars of Inverary and walkable to the beautiful castle. Would recommend!”
“George hotel locates in a lovely town with good scenery. Our room is big and clean. We spent a couple of good nights our room and it’s nice restaurant. ”
“Four of us (all adults) spent two nights in Inverary and had reserved three rooms at the hotel months in advance.
From the very first interaction with the staff, we were in love. Our rooms were large and comfortable, with lots of natural light and a beautiful view of the main street. One of our rooms was across the street, which gave us the chance to take fun photos of us waving and yelling to each other! The bathroom in my room was surprisingly big and while we only used the clawfoot tub to do……
“A haven of peace and tranquillity. The house is very spacious, welcoming lounge with amazing loch views. Full of interesting objects and books. The gardens are beautiful with mixture of wild bluebells but also lawns and a magnificent monkey puzzle tree. The breakfast was tasty and good choice.
Thank you and would love to return when in the area again. ”
“What a wonderful place to spend a weekend away from it all. Everything was perfect except that we only stayed for the weekend. We shall return very soon. ”
“Enjoyed our stay - beautiful location in glorious weather!! ☀️ Just a few extra touches would have made all the difference, such as upgraded amenities in our room (providing tissues, magnifying mirror, better quality toiletries etc) and more varied dining and breakfast menu options, otherwise a fairly standard 4 star hotel.
Biggest issue was the creaky floor above our bedroom, sounded like the elephants were having a dance!!
All in all however, we would definitely stay there again 😊”
“This is a beautiful property and well worth a visit. Despite my train arriving after check-in, it was very easy to access my room. The room was a good size and very clean. The hostess is friendly and extremely accommodating. If you use public transportation, be aware that the property is near Pulpit Hill, so there is some steep walking. However, buses do serve this area, and you can get a taxi. I came to Scotland to hike, so the uphill walk was a welcome part of the trip. The house was less……
“Amazing country manor! Gracious rooms. Wonderful staff. Delicious breakfast! Very close to Oban. Quiet!
The only slight I had was the over abundance of smell. Each area has reed diffusers and it is a lot of smell. As someone sensitive to that it was a bit much. I put our reed diffuser in a closet and then it was fine.
Would I recommend this to friends? 1000%! You have to see it to believe it. Absolutely amazing! ”
“What a find with this accommodation made even more special by the owners warm, personal care and special touches and great attention to detail. Breakfast is to order and great choices all personally looked after and catered for by Carol.
The views and tranquility of the area around the property are just breathtaking and we found some amazing places to visit in and around Oban.
Fantastic for parking too at the property.
Thankyou for making this a very special and memorable stay and hopefully……
“The room was good with a large bathroom and perfectly acceptable. But it wasn't great. No chairs to sit in, only window seats which were uncomfortable. We were in room 1, right by the front door so rather noisy until the restaurant closed and our window (with a great view) was by the front door, so it felt a bit like being in a goldfish bowl.
Would I stay again? Maybe, it was OK, just not great.”
