“It was a nice place to stay overall. They were in the middle of doing renovations at the time. Our room was nicely done, but it appeared that they didn’t update the bed. It wasn’t firm and somewhat worn which affected my sleep. The walls were thin and I could hear the person in the next room talking as if there wasn’t a wall. The complimentary breakfast was a nice treat. ”

“Sadly, this place is about 40 years out of date. Heat, electrical, shower, bathroom fixtures all badly out of date. The beds are like a pile of sand. Really harsh. You get what you pay for, except this place should cost half again what they charge. Sorry, but it's the truth”

“I liked that it is an older style bed and breakfast place. You could say "classy" or "vintage". It reminded me of places where I would visit with family when I was a child. I received a personal welcome and orientation to the property. Breakfast was nice and cooked options were available for me to choose. Another guest in the dining room at breakfast was also enjoying the visit and it was natural to strike up a conversation and get to know each other. It was a more personal kind of stay than……

“Lovely Inn and Innkeeper. The room was clean and cozy. There was hot coffee and breakfast in the morning including homemade breads and fruit. We will be back! ”

“wonderfully restored old mansion. Rooms were charming... nicely designed. In fact the entire facility has been thoughtfully brought into today's design standards. Very accomodating staff... although many appeared to be a training mode. Need to improve the professionalism a bit. They have a new general manager (had only been there about 2 weeks when we visited)... seems he has a number of things on his agenda that will improve the property even more. Food was good... but not wonderful. ……
