“We found this wonderful farmhouse Guesthouse by chance, on the internet and so glad that we did. We stayed there for a few days/nights and NOTHING was too much trouble for the hosts, Sandra and Arthur. Indeed, these lovely people being 'natives' to Dartmoor, have a vast knowledge of how anything and everything happens on the moors. "Booked a valley castle room w king bed for one night in late Sep. Room was very clean with comfy n up to date decor. Room was big enough and soundproof quality was good. Big garden surrounded hotel n we took a pleasant walk the next day. Should have stayed for one or two nights so as to enjoy swimming pool and other facilities. The historical building was well maintained. Very pleasant stay "
