“Good value for money. Modern, clean and excellent location. Room was a little on the small side but absolutely fine for 1 night.”

“The hotel is located within some outstanding scenery with Loch Alvie literally on your doorstep. We were all made to feel welcome, including Dizzy the dog , and the chefs produced some delicious food as we sat near a blazing log fire. Room and bathroom were very clean and well appointed. The only grumble we would have is that we were charged for our dog's stay on a nightly basis, to cover additional cleaning, as opposed to per visit, you would only clean the room once even after 2 nights stay.”

“Staff were friendly and helpful, location handy and beautiful, with red squirrels nearby and nesting house martins. My only suggestion would be that - as we should be reducing meat and dairy consumption for environmental reasons - vegetarian breakfast should be the norm.”

“We stayed for two nights in one of the garden rooms. It had a decking area onto the grass. We ate in the restaurant on both nights and had breakfast there too. The room was good, and mostly clean. Putting our case in the shelving area disturbed a layer of dust that you could write your name in. However, the bathroom and linen was clean. The decor was fine, but a bit worn. The bathroom tiles were cracked and the paintwork in it badly chipped. The bed was large, but overly firm, I woke with a……

“Fantastic spot. We were 2 adults and 2 kids from Canada. It was our first experience in self-catering, and we kind of fell in love with it. You get the benefit of a private room and bathroom witht the added bonus of a shared kitchen, living room and dining room. The room allowed the kids to have their own beds and was clean and well stocked. The kitchen had all the cookware I could imagine needing, we utilized this space and didnt find it too busy with other guests, we were able to work well……
