“Stayed here 3 times short walk from the station! Stayed in room 205 which is at the rear of the building so nice and quiet away from the city traffic noise! We always book DB&B excellent value, the hotel seemed quieter than previous visits. Pre-dinner drinks were very very limited as bar person said they were waiting for a delivery actually only Guinness on draft & beer fridge almost empty! My partner & I both choose the soup which was delicious he had chicken curry which was an large portion……

“After going through the front gate that should have locked I came by a dumpster full of stinking garbage. The small courtyard was filthy. The stairs going up to the rooms needed a good cleaning and refurbishing. After opening the door to the room I was surprised how small it was, 8’x8’? “The proprietor was very welcoming, the room was clean and tidy. There was also tea,coffee, biscuits and water available in the room. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. They do not do breakfast but the proprietor recommended places where we could obtain an evening meal with a pint of real ale and also some breakfast the following morning. Would definitely stay there again. ”
