“Lovely old pub, nice friendly staff. We booked the large double which was extremely comfortable, great pillows. The only let down was the cold, it was freezing. Heating wasn't working. This wouldn't put me off staying again, as it's a really nice place”

“This is our go-to lodging when attending the opera at Glyndebourne. A wonderful, country house in Uckfield, set on beautiful, expansive private grounds. Comfortably and exquisitely furnished, it is always a pleasure to arrive and occupy the spacious common rooms and assigned bedrooms. “Fabulous one night stay. Terrace room was beautifully decorated, very quirky and was lacking nothing. Miriam on the front desk couldn’t have been more helpful and the breakfast was delicious ”

“The hotel looks very new. Not sure if it’s a new built/ newly refurbished. It’s very modern and the staff there (Brighton) was wonderful and very welcoming during check in & out, luggage storage etc. Such a convenient location as it’s more or less 5 mins walk from the train station. About 15mins walk down to the seaside which is close enough. The room is clean and all essentials kitchenware included if you want to cook during your stay. We didn’t cook as there’s too much great food temptation……

“We had a lovely stay, the room was clean and very comfortable. The owner allowed us to have a late check in, as we were stuck in traffic on the way down. The breakfast was delicious and we were grateful for the dinner recommendation and parking tips. Thank you.”
