“Always enjoy our stay at Union Road , it is so convenient for visiting my family. They make you feel so welcome. I am sorry to say if there is one thing we don't like is the fact that the rooms are dog friendly, and we are not dog lovers. I don't know if all rooms are dog friendly but if they are it might be a problem for future stays as my wife can break out in a rash.”

“Delightful Tudor pub with 7 bedrooms in a quiet village. Tis was a perfect stopover and we particularly enjoyed the breakfast in the main pub area in the morning. Will definitely come back and recommend.”

“We had a great stay , our one little gripe was that the pub closed at 8.30 on Saturday night, and was closed after 5 on Sunday night, are room was great and we will return.🙂”

“A great welcome, very friendly, lovely, comfy, spacious room. Mouth watering meals and great choice of drinks. Although we had a lovely Valentine meal, we were in the public bar, next to the bar which was a bit noisy, table in the restaurant would have been preferred for a bit more privacy. Still we had a wonderful stay.”

“Beautiful family run guest house in the heart of the town , I was made to feel so welcome and the breakfast was delicious, comfy bed and tv and nice clean bathroom , will definitely stay again when passing through ! ”

“It was in a lovely location, must be stunning in the summer. Breakfast was amazing! Allowed two dogs which was great. Only negative is our room was above the bar and Friday night was very noisy until the early hours, and no hairdryer in room. ”

“This is an old building and part of the charm of the village. A lovely breakfast and welcome. The room was spacious and warm. The hotel does need refurbishment and some decoration but it is central and close to the shops and restaurants ”

“Had a lovely stay in the Owl's Roost. The hosts were so kind and couldn't have been more helpful. It was so peaceful being surrounded by fields. The cabin was very clean and beautifully decorated, and the bed was comfy! The hosts even offered to provided a telescope to use for the clear nights, which was a very nice touch (we did bring our own) We will be returning again in the future.”
