“What a lovely place to stay. While off the beaten path, the views and peaceful area were worth the drive. Hosts were excellent and accommodating. There were some excellent dining options nearby in under 15 minutes driving. ”

“Very comfortable room with lots of nice extras, like chocolates, biscuits, bottled water, full coffee machine and tea selection. Spacious room. Very nice dinner. Leisure centre open to the public so quite busy but probably the time I went. Situated beside a filling station with an M&S mini shop, Burger King and some other eateries which was great to nip in and grab a quick lunch. Friendly check in and quiet night’s sleep. ”

“The Brooklodge is a beautiful hotel and the grounds are immaculate and lovely to walk around. It is a lovely old style building with a separate building called "brookhall" that has rooms and a geothermal pool. There is an amazing restaurant called the Strawberry tree restaurant, a great leisure centre. Overall, i think it is a little gem and off the beaten track but it is a must see. There is also a lovely quaint looking church beside a river stream-ideal for weddings. ”

“The hotel staff were excellent. The food was very good. The room was comfortable (accessible room) but could do with refresh. The carpet was quite stained in places, the tiles on floor of shower were sharp around the drain, the shower taps were roughly fixed to shower wall and very difficult to turn off, there was no air-conditioning in bedroom, no safe, and key card kept failing. The hotel also offered an indoor pool. However, it was always so busy as the hotel opens it up to non - residents.……
