“Towels were paper thin. Hallways aren’t vacuumed. Staff is scarce no one is ever at the front deck. Our shower had soap drips in it from previous stay. It wasn’t the worst motel I have stayed in but for the money it should have been more welcoming. ”

“The property is quaint and charming with a super friendly staff. Breakfast is made to order with a smile. My only critique: my partner and I are both 6 feet tall and we unfortunately booked a room at the top with a downward sloping ceiling at multiple places. My fault for not better reading the description. Now you know. Come and enjoy yourselves. ”

“We had a change of plans for our road trip and found this delightful B and B at the last minute. We were very pleasantly surprised; the property is beautiful architecturally, the hosts were really gracious and welcoming, and the breakfasts were wonderful. Murphy's is a little foodie haven with a bunch of local cellar doors open to the public, and historic goldrush era buildings in the surrounding villages. “The facility itself was nice; clean, updated and comfortable. Our room was right next to what is probably the busiest intersection in Sonora. So, it was louder in the room than usual. The great part is that the AC unit was kind of loud so it drowned out the traffic noise. So,…there’s that. They have a real parking issue. They share a very small parking lot with a sister facility next door. It is not enough for both facilities. We didn’t want to move our car once we got a spot. The car spaces are……
