“It was a roomy space, with several comfortable beds and a nice kitchen and living room. The northernmost bedroom has an excellent view of the temple. The restaurant downstairs serves delicious, reasonably priced food prepared and presented by friendly staff. The stairwell is steep and is the only access to the space. It is also a musty stairwell, but the rooms were comfortable and clean. ”

“We had a wonderful anniversary trip to Nauvoo. The historic and quaint Mix House added some period charm to our stay. While the house retains much of its 19th century charm, it has the modern conveniences needed for a relaxing stay. It may have been the off season, but food and meal choices were limited in Nauvoo itself. We were grateful for the items we ordered from The Apron Bake Shoppe.”

“The staff we encountered were a great crew!! Very friendly and accommodating!! The hotel is under remodeling but we didn’t encounter any obstacles or noise. My suggestions for making this a 5 stars - The bathroom area needs a couple of towel bars. There was only a double hook on the door. A little landscape maintenance is needed. A quick vacuum in stairways to show off that new carpet. If in the area - would certainly suggest to anyone to book a room here!!”
