“I thought the hotel was very well maintained for how old it is. It was also decorated cute with a nod to the 1800's but without going over-board or being fussy. We were pretty comfortable except that we were on the 3rd floor and there are no elevators. Being older and not in the best shape, it was a little challenging for us, especially when we hauled our 50 lb suitcase up the first night. “We had a wonderful time at the Nauvoo Grand B & B. Laurie, the host was an amazing cook and host. Warm reception every time she saw us. We had a mix up in reservations at another hotel and ended up here, we are so happy we did and would do it again in a heartbeat.”

“Amazing antiques & flowers all around mansion & carriage house. They are still working on completing the renovations which was good for us because we got to go thru all the rooms & see all the furnishings. When we arrived Expedia hadn't notified staff (Dave & Pete) that we were coming but we had made reservations within an hour-ish before. So, our room hadn't been cleaned. “There was hair on the bathroom counter that did not belong to us. The corners of the floor in the bathroom were packed with months of yucky buildup and the corner behind the bathroom door was really gross with a lot of dirt.”

“Very clean for the price. Very nice, accommodating staff. No strange smells in the room or in the bed which is really nice, usually booking via 3rd party apps gets you the crappy rooms but all the appliances worked well, there were toiletries and clean linens in the bathroom. Not sure about breakfast or where it would have been since I missed it.”
