“We had a blast starting each morning fishing on the lake and ending the day by the fire pit. Lots of wildlife and not far from grocery store or food.”

The views are breathtaking the surround sound system was great for Christmas music. The steps down to the lake are intense BUT the host describes them well. “We had a wonderful weekend at Newman's Nook on Lake James. Jake was a terrific host and his home had everything needed to comfortably accommodate our group of 11. The pool is convenient to the home, and the boat house has everything you would need to enjoy the lake. ”

“This house was immaculate, beautifully decorated, kitchen was stocked with everything needed to prepare meals. The games downstairs were fun for the whole family. Access to the boat dock was perfect for our pontoon boat, and the paddle boards and kayaks were such fun to use. The wagon provided downstairs was handy to carry our coolers to the boat each day. Thankful to have the opportunity to spend our family vacation in this beautiful house on gorgeous Lake James.”

For this decade year, I just wanted to chill by the lake, enjoy the scenery, get out on our boat, and do some fishing without having to drive there.
