“Everything was just...."almost". Almost close to being great but falling short. The front desk was probably the best part of the experience but that was part of the problem in the fact that what the resort promises is not what the resort delivers. It was supposed to be a dream weekend for the two of us but I was left a bit disappointed in how the concierge took care of us. If I had a special occasion and needed the important details to be taken care of, I WOULD NOT select the Grove Park and Inn……

“I went away with an "It was OK" experience. Hotel, though nice, was very dated. The restaurant was ok but very loud. The staff were vwry pleasant and helpful. For the price would I.do.it again? Probably not. To be fair they had a number.of activities associated with the hotel we didnt use becauae of our short stay. Perhaps a longer stay and utilizing some of the things they offer would justify the cost.”

“Great place. Clean and nick folks. There was a lapse in the communications between hotels.com and the facility. I had a hard time confirming my reservation as they could Not find it. “I grew up on NW 14th St on Oak Island. I have been back visiting family in order to help grieve a lost family member, and needed a separate space for a few days. Given that I could stay with family for free, I wanted something that was reasonably priced but still felt like luxury, and this spot is it. Only a half mile walk to the beach, and I used to walk a mile growing up on 14th. The only downside is crossing Oak Island Dr. but it’s not even that busy all the time, and often drivers will stop……
