“We found this 5* B&B online and it WAS! Warm welcome, beautiful twin room with ensuite and excellent extras provided. Extremely comfortable beds. Excellent choice of breakfast and excellent breakfast beautifully served.
Would very much recommend this property and definitely would visit again.”
“Excellent séjour , chambre spacieuse et très confortable , on n’entendait que les petits oiseaux chanter.Cadre idyllique sur un golf . Personnel souriant et efficace.”
“Wonderful sized room, huge bathroom with a his and her sink and fantastic view to look out upon. I think I may have had a room upgrade as it was my wedding day and a lot larger than expected! Thank you to the staff if that was the case.
The cooked breakfast was pretty tasty and they had continental yoghurts and fruit beforehand.
The decor was a bit tired e.g ripped curtain, carpet staining etc. It was still very nice, but the closer you look the more little details from wear and tear were……
“Charming and perfectly located, this quaint Eastbourne hotel is just steps from the seafront and local shops, making it ideal for a peaceful, walkable getaway. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, adding a personal touch that made the stay feel truly special.”
“Nice character. Excellent staff. Excellent food.
Small niggle, huge room but tiny bed in the Portsmouth.
And croquet lawn looked in need of some love.”
“The apartments are lovely, and have everything you need; washing machine, microwave, toaster, oven etc. The only thing that would stop me coming again, is the exorbitant price charged for dogs. £20 per dog PER NIGHT! We have 2 small dogs, staying for 5 nights which would be an extra £200 on the bill! We queried it, and they reduced it to £15 per dog per night. But that is still an extra £150. Other places we have stayed in, charge between £20-£50 per stay. So, as lovely and convenient as it is,……
“The room was excellent with absolutely everything needed for comfortable stay.
Friendly helpful staff and lovely breakfast.
Would definitely recommend .”
“Super house, with a great history - all 550 years of it! Car Park at rear for guests. Rod is a super host and cooks a nice English breakfast every morning. We stayed in the twin, corner bedroom with separate bathroom. Very comfortable beds and bedding, nice room. All very clean and comfortable. Tea & Coffee available in the room and bottle of water. Information file in the room, gives a history of the house, garden and interesting places to see/visit in area and beyond. Also information re:……
“If I could rate it higher stars I would!! This is a fantastic place. The owner Steve was great - very helpful and accommodating. There were many breakfast options and the food was good. The decor in the building is very artsy and gorgeous. I got a good vibe from the place as soon as I walked in - very welcoming. It’s a 5 minute walk to the Eastbourne boardwalk and 5-10 minute walk into town. Good location. I would stay here again when in Eastbourne.”
“We stayed in a family room which was clean and close to the beach, with some restaurants around. There is no USB socket in the room so need to bring your own sockets to charge your phones and devices. Pillows are too soft. Breakfast was included, with cold and cooked buffet for selection.”
“Perfect for a quick getaway
The staff are amazing the dig are near Sainsbury’s and other shops. Domino pizza on the doorstep.
5 minutes walk from the train station and 10 minutes to the Beach and old town.
Perfect place for a trip to the coast. ”
“We wanted a clean and comfortable room to stay at whilst visiting the area. This hotel provided us with everything we need - comfy bed, hot shower, quiet area and a really popular restaurant attached.”
“We loved our stay in this unique place. The staff was warm and welcoming and very accommodating and the surrounding area was gorgeous to wander. Given the age of the Inn, the facilities are excellent, although an upgrade in the bathroom, especially the shower, would be nice. Overall though, I highly recommend this wonderful, historic, and charming place!”
