“This is the only place to stay if you are visiting Liverpool to watch a game at Anfield. The atmosohere before and after the game is second to none and it is full of genuine supporters who want to enjoy the whole day, match and evening. The staff are welcoming, friendly and seem like they are enjoying themselves as much as the guests. The hosts/owners go out of their way to make everything easy and to give you a piece of home away from home. Cannot rate highly enough”

“This was the most lovely pub hotel room ive stayed in. Cleaned to the highest level, which is what you really want, with comfortable bed and decent bathroom. No funny smells. Well stocked coffee and tea collection. ”

“The hosts were amazing! Incredibly friendly and accommodating, however there was no one permanently onsite but a rotation of a few people popping in through the day. It would have been helpful to have someone on a “night shift” as we sadly had a bad experience with the guests next to us. Our room was cosy and nicely designed but the walls are paper thin. We were in Room 1 which is next to the front door and main road. Sadly the guests next door to us came in very late, one of them had locked……

“Dogs friendly lodge. I do appreciate people in the UK treat their dogs as families. We saw a lot of friendly dogs in the lodge. What a great experience. The breakfast is nice and the receptionist is enthusing to deliver help. ”

“The country house is situated in the most idyllic place, surrounded by beautiful gardens, which you can relax in, and outstanding views of the surrounding fells. The property itself is to the highest standards with large immaculate bedrooms. Breakfast is delicious, with the finest ingredients and a varied menu, served by friendly, helpful staff. I would highly recommend and will definitely return.”
