“The hotel grounds were lovely. The “deluxe suite” we’d booked had some worrisome issues. If you’re a guest anywhere near 6’ tall you run the risk of cracking your head (and drawing blood) on the sharp wooden beams like my spouse did. The towel rack in the bathroom (that also had a low wooden ceiling beam) was scalding hot with no shut off lever. Our safety concerns were relayed to the staff and although they said they’d investigate it didn’t seem like much of a surprise. The breakfast though……

“The room was spotless, a good size and the bed was comfortable.The staff were all very helpful. Breakfast was good with a reasonably selection. It was good value for money. This was the second time we have stayed at this hotel and we would definately stay again. Car park and outside area does not do the actual hotel justice.”

“Great one night stay. Free breakfast which was good and fresh. Lots of free parking. Friendly and helpful check in staff and good sized room! Considering it was about £55 for a night, I was happily surprised by the quality of my stay. ”

“The property is good in general, a good place for chilling and relaxing. However, the lady in the reception’s attitude is bad to me. She arranged the room to me which is too far away which poor (almost nothing) WiFi access, and she said I have to find the router by myself and reset it (which I don’t think it’s my responsibility to do so). Also the room has no laundry bag and she insisted there is one in the cabinet. One of the lamp was not workable in the room too. Eventually I insisted I do not……

“A great stay at the Woodpaddock in May 2025 for a weekend visiting family. Denise was super helpful throughout my stay, even before I had arrived! On arrival, there was a warm welcome, fresh milk and tea & coffee. Greatly welcomed after a long journey. I stayed in room 4, a self contained double room which was perfectly fine for my needs.
