“Overall a good experience. Our room was upgraded to a junior suite upon arrival which was a nice touch however a night there was a lot of noise until late as well as early in the morning. I’m not sure if this was due to location of the room (being on first floor and above the dining room/kitchen). It was difficult to sleep, especially if you’re a light sleeper.”

“We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful hotel. Everything available on site, but also very easy walking distance to Funchal centre. All of the staff were extremely helpful & friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The food was wonderful & breakfast was a delicious choice of fresh & cooked food. We would highly recommend this hotel & will definitely be back. It was my partners birthday while we were in Madeira & despite us not announcing this in any way, he was presented with a birthday……

“The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Spotless clean and the grounds are lush and beautiful. The big down side is the main pool,the water is so very cold. Considering the size of this pool and how pretty it is, hardly anyone swam in it, due to the cold temperature. It's an terrific waste, just to sit around it and not be able to take a dip. Many people dipped a toe in, and then just walked away.”

“Amazing view, bed was ok, breakfast was awesome, Only negative in my opinion they charge you a 1euro "optionnal" donation to a charity, awkward to say no when the bill is already printed”

“Everything was great. My room was clean and quite big. Bed was very comfortable. Service was excellent. They acoomodated me for a really late check in as my plane got delayed. Breakfast was really good and the grounds around the hotel were a beautiful garden.”

“Die Lage des Hotels ist super! In der Nähe der Altstadt und des Hafens, alles ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und gemütlich, modern und sauber. Das Frühstücksbuffet ließ keine Wünsche offen. Ich würde dieses Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen. ”
