“The room was fine -- small, but clean. On the downside the bed was hard, and there was a fair amount of noise. There is no air conditioning or heater -- but the weather was moderate. The hotel is within close walking distance to the city center. But on the much bigger plus side, is that on both days my Expedia booked tour companies let me down, but the caring staff at Chankana Hotel (Hostel) went above and beyond to help salvage my entire trip! The second day of my trip the Chankana staff……

“Well located in a quite alley near plaza de armas. Our window is facing thr innet courtyard so no noise from outside. Excellent buffet breakfast with very helpful staff. Hot water anf heatet works well.”

“Not pleasant...VERY difficult to find, then no record of reservation. Staff called owner who was rude. After demanding a room, the owner finally 'found' a room. I only stayed 2 nights instead of 5.”

Allerdings möchte ich einmal den Reinigungsdienst besonders loben, Frau Jaqueline macht Ihre Arbeit mit Freude und besonderer Freundlichkeit. An ihr können sich andere ein Beispiel nehmen. Maritta von der Rezeption macht Ihre Arbeit auch sehr gut und freundlich. Ärgerlich beim reichhaltigen Frühstück ist, dass man den Cappuccino extra mit 10 Soles bezahlen muss- ein Nogo für ein 4……
