“We stayed for two nights. Apart from being made to wait until the very last minute to check in -- absolutely loved it. The property is just beautiful; lovely and well-kept grounds right up against the red rocks. We saw turkeys and mule deer in the grounds. The castle was beautiful with many original features but nicely updated. The breakfast was decent and the staff were friendly and efficient. Loved our visit. Also, it's very close to Old Colorado City -- we went down there both evenings.”

“Negatives: I was given a handicap room even though I did not book one. Because of this the bed was very low. The mattress was honestly the worst mattress I have ever slept on. It was lumpy and slanted. It felt like a half inflated air mattress. It was very difficult to sleep. The pillows also contributed to my terrible nights sleep. Worst pillows ever!!!
