“The pool was a pristine gem. I'm almost sorry to call it out, because I want to keep it secret! The rest of the property is a gem in CS. Recently beat out the BROADMOOR for awards. Can you believe it?? ”

“Overall, the stay at this Holiday Inn Express was enjoyable, from the breakfast in the morning to the pool and exercise room. The room itself provided ample space for the family, and having a refrigerator was a plus. The location near garden of the gods was convenient. The only negatives relate to the area where the hotel is located. Right across the street was a vacant lot where it appeared a building had been removed, and most of the shops in the area were 'head' shops or liquor stores. ……

“It was close to everything BUT it wasn't so close that we could walk. But there were a TON of people in town so the hotel didn't have walking traffic. I loved it!”

“A quintessential 150-year-old hotel in the heart of Manitou Springs, the hotel was recently renovated and has modern amenities in its rooms. Our room, unfortunately, overlooked the back side of the hotel with a view of a hillside a few feet from our bedroom windows. We did not feel safe opening the windows at night for fresh air. The staff was outstanding and friendly; however, on the last day of our stay, the valet parked our car in the grass and smashed the side mirror into a reflector.……

“Our one night stay was fine. Only complaint is that we couldn’t get out of the parking lot deep in the bowels of the building when departing the next morning. So we returned to the front desk and discovered that our ticket that we needed to activate the lifting of the barrier didn’t work because it needed to be validated. We just didn’t know this.”

“Negatives: I was given a handicap room even though I did not book one. Because of this the bed was very low. The mattress was honestly the worst mattress I have ever slept on. It was lumpy and slanted. It felt like a half inflated air mattress. It was very difficult to sleep. The pillows also contributed to my terrible nights sleep. Worst pillows ever!!! Sadly because of this, I will not stay here again. I hope for every other guest's sake, they had more comfortable beds and pillows. Also the……
