“Cleverly decorated with good supplies (apart from drinkable tap water). It was cosy and well heated, which was just as well as the shower was rubbish (freezing cold with low pressure) and the room is separate to the hotel - the door opens directly onto the carpark ”

“Amazing stay this weekend at Ashdown. We were able to play tennis, use the driving range, lunch and walk around the grounds all before checking in. Room was beautiful and clean with a great view! Dinner in the restaurant and breakfast also great and generous portions. Service fantastic! ”

“The lady on reception was extremely accommodating and friendly. The bar and restaurant is quaint. The only criticism we have is at the bar manager and the mixologist. We were told by reception on arrival that being a Greene King chain we could order our food and drink via app at our table when we went down to dinner which we did, however the mixologist came over to our table and criticised us using the app as he said he didn’t have all the ingredients for the cocktails we were ordering. “Me & my partner stayed Friday 25th April as attending the game at the Amex Stadium on the Saturday. So friendly the staff, really relaxed and nothing was too much trouble. Food in the restaurant both at evening meal and breakfast was superb. Our room was a really decent size, and the decor spot on. Yes you could hear music from below from the bedroom, but we were advised this was likely and it wasn't an issue anyway. Would without doubt stay here again, when next visiting Brighton ”

“Everything was great, the only small gripe I had was that it took a long time for the hot water to reach temperature for the shower, even using the electric boost option. Host was really helpful and room excellent and spacious for a solo traveller which was much appreciated.”
