“We LOVED Villas Rios Mar on the same level with Banana Azul at Puerto Viejo! We stayed at 5 places in Costa Rica and they were our favorites. The grounds were beautiful. The room AND deck space/setting were wonderful! The only things that were a bit of an issue were the safe never worked for us (poor instructions/key use etc), the closet doors were jammed and unuseful, and we were the farthest room from the front desk/restaurant and had trouble with the WIFI. But those things aside, the beauty,……

“Lovely property with responsive hosts. The bungalow properties are uniquely whimsical and private. Perfect location outside of the hustle & bustle of Dominical, but a 20 minute drive away. Grocer & restaurants even closer. No A/C but decent fans available. It’s cooler in the evenings “up the hill” from Dominical. ”

“Hotel was nice property with good location in Uvita. Next door was a mix of eating places (Uvita Gastro Park). The staff was very nice and helping. The hotel appeared to be newer property. Also secure parking.”

“Superb property up on the Uvita mountains. As long as you have a 4x4, getting there is a fun ride. Staff was great and the spa facilities are really nice. The only thing keeping me from returning for a whole remote work week is the internet speed. It was spotty and not reliable for a prolonged work stay.”

“We had a lovely couple of nights here. The pictures do not so the villa justice. The view is just stunning, beautiful pool overlooking the sea. There’s also a bbq you can use which was great. Jess and her team were wonderful, I cannot thank them enough for going above and beyond for us. We got stuck with a flat tire when we arrived and they got it all sorted for us. Anything you need, the team are on hand are communicate with you from the minute you book. ”

“We loved the grounds, so peaceful and lush. Huge variety of birds, howler monkeys in the distance each morning, incredibly kind, helpful and friendly staff. Delicious food, beverages and the best swimming pool ever!”

“The room was very nice and clean. I appreciated the hosts’ work to make it an enjoyable stay. The howler monkeys hooting at 5:30 am made sure I didn’t sleep in for my 7 am start at Costa Rica Dive and Surf. It was a pleasant stay. ”

“This place is picturesque and has potential, but the staff was inattentive and seemed bothered when we asked for anything. We had to search the grounds for someone to come to check us in. The bartender wasn’t around for at least the first 20 mins of happy hour. We were told a lot of things were not done properly (room cleaning) or not working (hot tub) b/c of electricity issues (to be fair, it is rainy season and there were thunderstorms each night and it sounds like they were working off……
