“This resort was beautiful. A good bit off the beaten path but what a jewel when you get there! The rooms were quite spacious and lovely. There was a welcome gift when we arrived of fresh fruits. No matter where you are on the property, you can hear the waves crashing and it is glorious! The resort felt very exclusive and was populated but not crowded at all. “Latica lodge was amazing to stay at! If you’re looking for that community vibe then this should be on the top of your list. Everyone from all over the world staying there, all having breakfast/supper together was spectular. The owners are everyday people willing to help you out with everything they made the stay so enjoyable. “Endroit magnifique mais malheureusement peut entretenu. Rideaux, divans, literies, beurk ! J’ai jamais vu autant de fourmis dans une propriété. Au moins une centaine sont sorties de la douche à l’étage de l’entrée. Il y en avait à l’étage supérieur également, dans le lit et partout sur le plancher. Gros gros gros ménage et entretien a faire. ”

“The owner, chef, and ladies made our stay here for my birthday quite special, with champagne, towel art- absolutely amazing!! The monkeys that live here- 2 families- are a hoot! Now I will say they are loud, lots of banging at night, dropping things on the roof. You get used to it, but if you are light sleeper like myself, highly recommend using earplugs and a sleep mask. I would wake up, and think, oh that’s a monkey, and g back to sleep. Elmer the chef made us dinner twice, all delicious food!……

“I had Mountain Bike race in the area and the hotel was near the race exit. Service is too good that they provided breakfast the night before as breakfast starts at 7:30am and the race started at 5:30am. There are hammocks to relax after race.”
