“The standard is good, everything is clean and working and the bed was comfortable.The food is good and the place is around 10 minutes in walking distance to the beach. The staff is both professional and very friendly - Thank you to Nixon, Fiorella,Michael, Randall and the others! If I was to stay at Cafe Playa Negra again, I would probably try to get a room that was not directly above the restaurant, as it can be a bit noisy in the evenings.”

“It’s a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. The pool is great, and there are hammocks beneath the coconut trees, perfect for unwinding. The air conditioning works well, though there’s no refrigerator in the room. Still looking forward to trying the continental breakfast, but expectations are high.”

“The owner, chef, and ladies made our stay here for my birthday quite special, with champagne, towel art- absolutely amazing!! The monkeys that live here- 2 families- are a hoot! Now I will say they are loud, lots of banging at night, dropping things on the roof. You get used to it, but if you are light sleeper like myself, highly recommend using earplugs and a sleep mask. I would wake up, and think, oh that’s a monkey, and g back to sleep. Elmer the chef made us dinner twice, all delicious food!……
