“Great good, close to everything but the bar in the restaurant is very pricey as well as the parking, we ended up just parking on the street directly out front. ”

“The Monarch is an affordable hotel located right in the heart of Oldtown. The main pool/hot tub area is lovely with lush greenery and a lively outdoor bar on site. The guest rooms were clean and functional, but a bit outdated. The wall mounted TV was very small & looked like a computer monitor. The outdoor balcony was a nice feature, but an awkward shape...not enough space for patio furniture (or even a chair to sit down). So guests can only stand up on the balcony to enjoy the view.”

“This is a very cute spot to stay and relax with family or friends. Close to old town, walking distance to most. Bicycles to use, spa offers high quality massages, and pool with bar makes you feel like you are on a resort but the atmosphere is small and quaint. The lobby and bar has a cuban feel with natural surroundings. Would stay here again and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice getaway!”

“Lots of construction tape around pool. Kid pool not working and unusable. Not able to get late check out. Refresh of rooms not consistent. Front desk staff did not make helping guests a priority.”

“It was a great stay but each day we were locked out of our room as our key card did not work forcing us to wait for security to bring new keys and let us in our room. We also asked for our bags to be brought to the front while we explored the property and enjoy the pool for the afternoon, but the bags were not up in the front bellman's closet a couple hours later when we were ready to leave making us late to an afternoon appointment that day. Other than that the staff and service was very good.……
