“You pay for fancy lobbies or pools or free breakfast in big chain hotels where they lack character and are not at all convenient to check in or unload luggage.plus you CC pay for the amenities you often don’t need or use. Walnut Inn was impeccably clean. Seems recently renovated top notch. Beds are comfortable. You can back up to your door to offload luggage. Lobby and grounds very well kept and appealing. Diner is in same parking lot. Gas station across street. I-40 is short distance. Close……

“The owners did a fantastic job renovating this old building. Each room is unique and stays with the time period of the building. The community bathrooms provide a unique environment. My daughter and I chatted with such nice ladies as we were going in and out of the bathroom area. It was convenient that there are no specific hours for the breakfast bar. There was a fine variety of easy, make for yourself options. My daughter had yogurt and oatmeal, and I had toasted peanut butter and jelly……

“We had a great stay. The location was close to shopping and restaurants. The house was in an older but quiet and well kept neighborhood. Everything we needed was there. Would like to have an icemaker in the fridge but that was it. We would definitely stay there again!”
